MOMENT IN TIBET EVENT A GREAT SUCCESS
On Sunday 3rd December 2006, people came from far and wide to the newly refurbished King’s College Pavilion in Ruislip to experience an event organised by the locally based Lelung Dharma Centre. The event, which had a distinctive Tibetan theme, proved to be very successful and attracted over two hundred visitors on the day.
While many people enjoyed a range of relaxing therapies, such as reflexology, reiki, massage, Bowen technique and vortex healing, others were watching Tibetan films or sampling Tibetan culinary delights such as butter tea and a traditional dish, called mo-mo, which was delicious, and proved to be very popular. There was also a wide variety of Tibetan gifts, books, jewellery and paintings for sale.
Lelung Rinpoche was on hand to tell people about his project, Geden Phacho Bhucho, the preservation of vital Buddhist teachings which are in danger of being lost for ever. This project has the blessing of H.H. The Dalai Lama himself. People were able to watch a very interesting film showing the first stage of the project which took place in Dharamsala in June this year.
The day generated great interest in the work being done by Lelung Rinpoche, the Lelung Dharma Trust, and the Lelung Dharma Centre, as well as being such a thoroughly enjoyable day for all concerned. We are looking forward to repeating it as soon as possible.
